Just snaps right onto the front... I need a cover because i've had the fan swallow some filament strings when i remove the excess after it heats up at the beginning of the print or when it prints a skirt and it doesn't stick right away and gets pulled in. Just snaps right onto the front... The way to prevent this was to make a cover, which is placed in front of the fan, with a hole facing upwards, which potentially reduces the chance of stuff from the hotend to get inside the fan.
